Mischief's Corner

Once more into the breach!
Welcome my friends to the first installment of Mischief's Corner where I do a detailed analysis and in depth recreation of this week's LAN gaming. Ha ha ha. Just kidding. No boring analyses here, just the highlights and lowlights from last Saturday night.

First off, it has been two or three weeks since we have all gotten together to play. With birthday parties and other distractions, the gang was feeling mighty bored. It's not that we miss the gaming, we miss the gathering together, the pregame meal, and the camaraderie of being in the hangout with your friends. It's kinda like the feeling you get from visiting your favorite bar or your favorite coffee house.

Our pregame meal was at the Korean BBQ restaurant. It featured some good old plates of cook-it-yourself meat as well as some eye opening observations. BadKitty pointed out that Superstar only dates guys named Robert (that's so she can always remember their names). But that's ok, because her current Robert always calls her Babe (well, she is a babe, but he uses that nickname so he doesn't mix up the names of all his girlfriends).

After many minutes of trying to connect Bunny'sFan's computer to the network, finally we played good old CounterStrike. You know it is going to be one of those nights when on the Oilrig map, your VIP can't follow you as you jump from the top of the building to the other. Instead he falls down, doesn't tell you he's fallen, and runs back into the building to try again! Now, I'm not going to mention any names (Karl), but come on!!! Of interest, after many instances of facetiously describing Oilrig as one of Bunny'sFan's favorite maps, Bunny'sFan has declared that Oilrig has indeed become one of his favorite maps. Which all goes to show you that it's not the map that is important, it's the people you play the map with. Where else could you, as the VIP, run away from your bodyguards (again, Bunny'sFan)? Where else can you fall in a hole as you are nearing the helicopter and then have to start back at the start-point (I think Pisser has done this more than once)?

As usual Tom was whining, Karl was shooting his own teammates, and many laughs were had by all. All and all it was a good day in the neighborhood.

Rock On.
