Even Cookies Need Love

Another night of food, friends, and fabuloucity (really, that's a word, or at least it could be). The Sharks had won earlier in the day, we had pre-notice of tonight's Lan Gaming, and it was a good hair day, so all was right in my corner of the universe.

We began with our ritual "Where are we going for dinner?" Krazy Karl wanted to order in pizza. Pisser felt like eating at the House of Pancakes (the International one). Bunny suggested Peach Garden. While it is normal for us to take a few minutes to decide upon dinner, this evening we were more divisive and we spent at least a half an hour in intense discussion. All Star Burger finally received our approval as destination. Two cars headed off. Me, Bunny, and Krazy Karl in one car. BadKitty, The Chad, and Pisser in the other car. (On learning of our choice, SuperStar and CurrentRobert decided that they were going out for sushi.) "Follow me," I shouted. And we were off.

All Star Burger is located on Thornton Ave. in Newark. Normally this would be a short trip from the House Of Chaos. However this time, there's a train that has traffic stopped on Cherry. I see how slow the train is moving, and feeling like I can short cut our way around the train, I make Bunny turn left on Central. Unfortunately this leads us into the industrial part of town and while not completely lost, we did drive around a bit before we arrived at said eatery. Dinner was ok. KK must have liked it because his dinner disappeared in under 30 seconds. Along with her dinner, BadKitty ordered an apple pie for us to eat later during our gaming break. Then back to the house. But first, another train (although I tried to convince everyone it was the same train!)

Gaming consisted of Counter Strike: Condition Zero. It is a recently released game, but let this be a warning to all you gamers out there - it is the same game! If you have been playing CS for the last few years then you've been playing CZ. Sure, the bot AI is a little better and the maps look a little different, but after hearing the hype, CZ does not deliver. We still had fun though. You know you're getting bored when you start flash-banging your own team, throwing smoke grenades all over the place, and trying to get in front of sniper boy Chad so he doesn't record another round of over 70 kills.

Just another day and night of fun.
