Do I really need to write this week's article? You were all there, and I do mean all. You all saw what happened. You were there for all the team shootings and team killings. You were there for the times when someone screwed up the switch and crashed the network. You were there when we waited for over an hour for SometimesBunny to go to dinner with us only to have her finally call and cancel. You were there to see Dr.Joe lock up the computer he brought from work exactly like SometimesBunny did back in December. You were there for the ups and the downs, and the entire perfect night of CounterStrike. Famous Quotes: "Hey! Who's humping my leg?" - BadKitty. The round had just begun, people were running to the choke points, and as often happens, if someone runs into you, your point of view bounces a little and it seems like you are not running as fast as you could be. "Argggg! That was my kill!" - BunnysFan. He yells this every time an opponent who he was shooting at is killed. Most of the time, he did get the kill. It's only rarely that someone else has stolen one of BunnysFan's kills. "Head shot!" - HeadShot. Need I say more? "How do you like me now Dr. Joe!!!" - HeadShot. Yelled after the one time he was able to kill Dr.Joe. Again it was a night of the loudest ghosts ever. Was it just me who was seriously annoyed about two certain dead people having a conversation with each other at top volume? And to make matters worse, they sit right next to each other! Sound plays a prominent role in CounterStrike. You can hear people running around. You can hear the bomb being set and the bomb ticking. And you can hear someone shooting at you. Plus it's how team members communicate with each other. Now I don't mind some talking, but is it too much to ask dead people to limit their conversations to whispers or hushed voices? And while I'm on the topic, I think dead people shouting 'Knife him' should have to pay the Jar of Shame a quarter. I did like the epic five on five battles we occasionally had. It's cool to see that many people running around. There's nothing quite like the gunfire of a horde of people shooting at each other. It was another great Game Night. --Mischief

I'm sure Mischief wouldn't want to be the "balancing factor" every game night. But he is the correct choice since he is on top of the LAN. Perhaps the following gamenight the job should rotate to whoever tops the LAN the week before.

Well, if your really worried about fair teams, you probably want to play tournament-style on top of team player rotation. Tournament-style would be where they play each map twice back-to-back and all the teams switch sides on the second map change. CT's become T's and T's become CT's.

Weas wasn't that good at figuring out what players made good teams. His judgement is terrible. What we should do is have a starting set team and rotate people through each team so that every combination of players are rotated through during the night.

That was great fun, y'all. I certainly miss the gaming nights. And it was great to see (to me) new faces. I had the highest number of deaths for the night. There ought to be an award for soaking up bullets.
I did miserable on some maps, but I was on fire in the last hostage map where we were storming the 2-story house. Though I have decayed from lack of CS game playing, it wasn't as bad as I had thought. I'm just that bad compared with the group.
All in all, a fun night. Thanks.
