be released on PC in Q4, 2002.The

GameFan Loves
the J-Bastards FlashBack
Just because Gamelord.org has to have this picture for their files,
we are running this flashback story about GameFan and the infamous
Jap Bastard placeholder copy. For those who don't know about this
story, GameFan magazine released their magazine with placeholder
copy that was derogatory to the Japanese. They recalled all the
copies on the newsstands. Instead of sending out new copies without
the page, GameFan literally ripped out the offensive pages and re-distributed
the magazine with a ripped-out page. The Editor at the time, Halverson,
tried to spin the story into conspiracy. In his unofficial letter
to the internet, Halversion writes that someone(s) had sabotaged
the magazine and went on to say that it was possible EGM that had
been responsible for going to the Printing area and making the changes.

All Your Base... Zig by Not
the Singer
The only thing missing from the game footage on the trailer was
the whole thing about "zig". I couldn't remember what
all the "zig" references were (zig-zag, ziggy, etc.)
Here's an animated
GIF. The footage here is "just a little bit longer" and
goes into the whole "zig" and "for great justice"
thingy.

All Your Base Are Belong to US by
Benzine
This may take awhile to load, but you have to watch the whole thing.
It is about 5 minutes long but definitely worth the wait. What started
off as a poorly translated video game exploded into this, and when
I saw it I laughed pretty hard. Please check it out.

Neil Musser and 3DO
Although the lay-offs reported by other gossip sites were exaggerated,
there were about 20% lay-off. Charles Huenergardt a friend of the
community was one of the casualties. However, Neil Musser, Jesse
Caseres, Arne Cual and Chad Lowe are still happily employed by 3DO.
Neil also has his own website at http://members.home.net/devilman33
Charles will be looking your way for new employment so some one
please throw him a bone.

Sam Clifford's HIT OF THE WEEK
Many people think hockey is rough. It's too violent. They think
broom ball is worse. Well, one thing's for sure, after you see this,
you'll know that broomball is not more violent than Hockey. Let
me explain each Part:
Part One: Sam
is swinging his stick to clear the puck out of our zone.
Part Two: Asshole skating hard from behind crosschecks Sam and knocks
him off balance.
Finally: Sam takes a header into the corner of the wall. He had
a face mask on so Sam was fine, otherwise, we would have never shown
this.
(Click on picture above to see the Parts.)(The picture is a re-enactment
and not the actual people involved in the HIT.)

Think we'll see more stuff like this in the future? Seems like an
odd couple right now but maybe thats just me...

Alvin Alquinnello Leaves for Redzone
It's not a surprise that Alvin is leaving, however, it is a surprise
that it took him this long to get it over with. Now that Thai Tran
and Alvin are leaving, this only leaves Julius Willis as the token
asian in the San Diego offices. This Friday is Alvin and Thai's
going away lunch so don't forget to crash this private party.
BTW, his name
is misspelled purposely to kick off his employment at Redzone.

...and Willis is down for the count (in more ways than
one)
This weekend saw the end of an era, as Mr. Julius Willis III kissed
good-bye to his 2nd best known prop after his cigarettes, or is
that his 3rd?After his glass of wine. Julius finally parted company
with his beloved motorcycle- an unfortunate twist on this sorry
tale is........he was still riding it at the time.
In what can
only be described as a- "saw that coming." incident, our
very own Willis took one turn a "little" too fast, and
came face to face with a mountain. Contrary to what he would have
us all believe, his "Adamantine" bones did actually give
way to the stresses of the collision, and his "Wolverine like"
healing factor has yet to kick in.
Seriously though.
Julius did get hurt (but not too badly), and I really shouldn't
be poking fun. But come-on, you all know him, how he rides that
bike (sorry rode), and how long overdue this accident was. It's
a relief that he didn't really hurt himself. Those of you who know
him, give him a call to cheer him up- and Julius, slow down man,
your 35 now.:)

Retro
Helix Ad banned in 57 US States
It was too racy to run in printed magazines,
but not too racy for Gamelord.org. This Ad for Kronos Digital's
sequel to Fear Effect was banned from magazines. By looking at this
Ad, many people would assume that it was banned because of the sexy
picture, but the official word from the magazine was that it was
banned due to the use of the word "climaxes" used in the
copy. Stan Liu, President of Kronos Digital will be making an appearance
in San Francisco this weekend to give his opinion of the situation.
Stan aka [7bits]Dirt will be the next In Your Face Interview by
Gamelord.org and we are currently fielding questions for this interview.
If you have questions for this Industry giant, please send all questions
here.
